I thoroughly enjoyed the few hours I was there! It was ridiculously hot, but still very beautiful and serene. I was there visiting a friend and decided to take a walk to the falls! It ended up turning into a “hike” because we took the long way around the park to get there!! Once we got to the falls, there was a slight breeze that made it all worth it! We were lucky and there was a Pokémon Go event going on, so that helped give us a little more energy for the “hike”. If I ever make it back to Wichita Falls, I am absofreakinglutely going back to this park! I loved every minute of it.

We visited the park and enjoyed the walk by the river. The water is actually red and the water falls without water, but still the rest of scenery is peaceful. We saw children playing on the playground and people play frisbee. We had fun time. Recommended!

Lucy Park, named after the stunning waterfalls, serves as a serene oasis in the city. It offers a picturesque setting for strolls or family picnics. The falls create a soothing ambiance, contrasting beautifully with the urban surroundings.
I had the pleasure of visiting Lucy Park twice while in the Wichita Falls area. The back park area along the small stream provides a nice semi-secluded back drop for a picnic. Come around 5:00 PM to enjoy a sundown dinner. There are a generous amount of covered/uncovered picnic shelters with grills to cookout. I was able to cookout at one of the covered shelters near the botanical gardens. It was absolutely soul satisfying!

It’s a great place to take pictures, get exercise and to relax! It’s a wonderful place for children. It has many cycling and walking trails. There are many picnic tables and benches along the trails. Don’t miss it.
